The rack is extremely well designed and sturdy and is suitable both for work tasks like hauling ladders or long pieces of lumber and for fun tasks like transporting kayaks and bikes. I'm not good at putting stuff together but I was able to install the system myself on my truck.(It did take me a couple of hours.)
