(More customer reviews)I had quality problems with these trucks right from the onset. The most egregious quality issue is that the kingpin of one of the trucks was improperly threaded with coarse threading! I replaced the kingpin with an Independent low kingpin - the only kingpin that worked and didn't stick up too much above the grinding surface of the hanger. The other truck's kingpin was also a problem, as it was extremely long and jutted prominently above the hanger. When I tried to tighten the truck just modestly enough to keep the bushings from turning freely, there were 3-4 threads showing above the nut, causing the kingpin to hang up on all obstacles it touched. I took out my hacksaw and sawed nearly 1/4" off the kingpin and that seemed to help. Both hangers had misaligned axles where one side had too much axle showing past the nut and the other side had too little axle to get the nylock on the nut to grab the threads. I was constantly losing wheels from one truck or the other as the nut spun itself loose. I took out the washers but the bearing shields were sticking on the hangers and the axle nut.
Manufacturing quality issues aside, these trucks have other problems. One positive is that the trucks are indeed very light. They turn strangely, though. The stock bushings, even replacement hard Tensor bushings, just plain suck. I appreciate the clever design of the interlocking bushings, but in practice the bushings are simply completely inadequate for their purpose. There's no breaking them in, either, because the washers cut the conical bushings right up within seconds of skating them. The washers themselves crush and deform quickly even with loose tightness of trucks. I replaced the washers and bushings after the first day of skating these Tensors. I used Bones Bushings in these and those helped a lot, but the trucks still turned abruptly and steeply with none of the natural "centering" found in every other truck I've tried (I've skated them all experimentally: Indy, Venture, Thunder, Gullwing, Tracker, Royal, Theeve.) I used the trucks for some freestyle sessions, some flatland sessions, and a skatepark street course session. These steep, twisty, uncentering trucks performed poorly in all of these sessions.
All in all, I really do not like these trucks. They cost a lot of money but they are cheaply manufactured toys constructed of materials that are completely inadequate for the stresses of skateboarding. They're total rubbish.
