It is meant for rod type lock systems; so make sure your vehicle does not have cable type locks before purchasing the product.
Installation was pretty straight forward although it takes several hours to do it the right way. Removing plastic panels, mounting the brain, looming and securing the wiring, mounting and adjusting the actuators, finding a 12V supply and ground all took about 9 hours total installing it the right way.
Hardest part was feeding the wiring through the doors.
The remote has a good distance to unlock and lock the doors.
I installed the door lock kit on a small kia car and had just enough wiring to reach the actuators.If you have a large truck or large sedan it might be necessary to extend the wiring.
Item shipped in about 7 days.
I highly recommend this product; it works great, it is convenient, and it has two remotes.
Definitely worth the money!
